Job Responsibilities

With our Agency\'s mission to support the recovery of people with mental illnesses, we provide a complete array of medical and support services for children, adults, and families throughout South Carolina.

This position is located at 2100 Charlie Hall Boulevard, Charleston, SC 29414.

Under close supervision, will provide mental health counseling and services to children, adolescent and their families patients open to the Charleston Dorchester Mental Health Center. This is a School Mental Health position serving students of Charleston County School District, and is designed to increase access to care for this population. Services are primarily provided in the school, but are also provided in both home and community settings, as well as in the clinic. Provides all forms of direct services as credentialed by the Center in an efficient manner as evidenced by meeting the established productivity expectation.

Expectation of meeting patients where they are (physically; at home, or in the community) to include safety in the field training.

Minimum and Additional Requirements

State Minimum Requirements: A master\'s degree in guidance, counseling, the social sciences or a related field.

Agency (DMH) Minimum Requirements: A master\'s or doctorate degree from an accredited program, university, or college in psychology, social work, counseling, marriage and family counseling, or other behavioral discipline deemed equivalent by SCDMH.
