Job Overview: APTIM is searching for a HSE Specialist. The HSE Specialist is responsible for developing, implementing and/or administering health, safety, and environmental protection programs. Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

• Work to establish APTIM\'s HR and HSE policies and procedures for medical screening.
• Coordinates the pre-employment and periodical substance abuse screening and medical examinations in compliance with company policy and regulatory agencies.
• Ensures that drug and alcohol screening results are communicated to HR /employees accurately and in a timely manner
• Provides technical assistance to office and manufacturing operations to ensure compliance with applicable international, federal, state and/or company environmental, safety, and health regulations
• Keeps abreast of any regulatory changes that impact the organization
• Recommends facility and technological specifications to carry out HSE programs that fulfil the organization\'s overall objectives
• Prepares and reviews statistical trending reports, technical reports, correspondence, and procedures manuals
• Establishes and maintains licenses and permits as required
• Meets applicable HSE regulatory codes and standards where required
• Assists in the application and enforcement of company and project HSE standards and regulations

Basic Qualifications:

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
• Must be available to work overtime as required
• The knowledge, skills and abilities as indicated below are normally acquired through the successful completion of a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Demonstrates a high level of interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written) necessary to communicate effectively and to consistently interact with clients, co-workers, and other contacts in a professional manner.

• Must be detail oriented with knowledge of office procedures and computer skills.
• Demonstrates strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task and prioritize workload.
• Promotes collaboration and utilizes excellent customer service skills to ensure that employees and company\'s needs are met in a professional manner.
• Flexible hours and work schedule required.
• Must be able to work both independently and within a team.

Preferred Qualification(s):

• Company Medical Coordinator or Designated Employee Representative
