Job Title: Mechanical Engineer / Project Engineer
Job Location: On-site 5 days/week in Hawthorne, CA (Los Angeles)
Salary Range: $90,000 to $120,000 depending on experience

What You Will Be Doing

This role take the R&D handoff to design new products from scratch for market release. Bringing a background in mechanical design, this position manages and develops custom systems design projects. This will include identifying all the necessary skills and resources needed to carry each project through all phases of development. You will work closely with customers, field service, production, engineering, and commercial teams to carry out the projects and provide regular updates to the stakeholders on schedule, budget, resources, roadblocks, and risks.

What You Need for this Position

Must Have Skills:
- 5+ years of mechanical design experience focused on systems with pumps, compressors, pneumatics, and related auxiliary components
- Experience managing custom system design projects
- 3D modeling, 2D drafting (SolidWorks, Inventor or similar)
- Ability to create assembly drawings from scratch with complete bill of materials
- Experience handling multiple projects that involve communication with engineering, supply chain, production teams, and customers/partners
- Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering background

Pluses (Not required):
- PDM/PLM software and ERP systems experience
- Product development processes and tools such as Stage-Gate, and Agile
- Previous experience designing water processing systems, hydraulic systems, or gas injection equipment
