What part will you play?

GAF Energy is seeking a Material Planning Manager who will assist in the planning and procurement of materials, material and information flow, and the management and control of inventory in achieving the business objectives.

This role will report to the Procurement Director and work cross-functionally with Stakeholders throughout the company.

The ideal candidate must possess strong attention to detail, high-level organization and record-keeping skills, and problem-solving skills. This role needs in-depth knowledge of the Supply Chain processes, passion for Materials management, and drive to always improve and implement the industry\xe2\x80\x99s best practices.

What will you do?

Plan and purchase supplies and materials according to specifications

Provides materials requirement plan for future orders in accordance to Supplier and transit lead time.

Oversees and monitors shipment plans from suppliers to ensure sufficient inventory

Analyzes current inventory levels, accuracy, and trends to determine when additional inventory should be ordered

Meets optimum inventory performance objectives as defined by the management.

Oversees receiving functions related to purchased parts and incoming supplies

Control inventory levels and ensure availability of material during emergencies

Assures write-offs on damaged or obsolete inventory to reflect the accurate value of inventory

Track material scrap and act or make recommendations to reduce or eliminate

Works with logistics to schedule delivery of materials, supplies, and equipment

Participate in projects and continuous improvement activities

Supervise, evaluate and coach subordinates

Maintain relationships and negotiate with suppliers

Keep detailed records on procurement activity, materials quantity, specifications, etc.

Performs other related duties as assigned

What do we require from you?

Bachelor\'s Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance, or any other related field

With a minimum of 3 years experience in a similar position

Familiarity with supply chain and inventory management systems

Understanding of forecasting and budgeting

Experience in ERP / MRP, warehouse management, and logistics systems

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Well-developed communication skills and a customer orientation

Attention to detail, procedural and process mindset

Strong prioritization, time management, and organization skills

Excellent computer skills (Excel, Powerpoint)

Solar Industry experience is an advantage
