Typical Duties
  • This Office of College Communications (OCC) position will work with the OCC Executive Director and the Community & Corporate Education Division (C&CE) to create and implement marketing plans for the division; and develop content that helps share the story of the C&CE division\'s products and services.
  • Manage coordinate multiple projects at the same me.
  • Manage and use social media to effectively promote programs and services.
  • Write news releases that will help share information about the division and other college programs and services.
  • Help ensure accuracy by copy editing and fact?checking all the C&CE division published materials.
  • Maintain and monitor use of college wide style guidelines
  • Provide content for the creation of marketing collateral, primarily for the C&CE division.
  • Coordinate with OCC Executive Director to evaluate and ensure successful execution of marketing plans.
  • Coordinate with OCC team members to ensure photo and video coverage of college events are posted to social media and website.
  • Use interpersonal, oral, written and visual communication skills to communicate ideas to community members and college employees.
  • Work with OCC team to ensure office deadlines, tasks and goals are being met.
  • Adhere to college, federal and state administrative procedures, guidelines, initiatives and directives to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations affecting college operations.
  • A end meetings and serve on committees as assigned.
  • Perform other tasks of a similar nature or level as assigned.
Qualifications

Minimum:
  • Bachelor\'s degree.
  • One year of professional experience in Advertising, Marketing, Journalism or Public Relations or related field.
  • Knowledgeable in the use of the Associated Press style.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, and Excel) and website content management.
