Job Description


The Marketing Content Specialist position is responsible for developing and maintaining content for product copy, catalogs, presentations, ads, trade shows, social media, websites, images, videos, and various marketing materials to support brand recognition, products, and sales. This individual will also interact with internal teams, customers, vendors, and suppliers to fulfill requests for marketing materials.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manages product content through Salsify Product Experience Management (PXM) platform. Delivers consistent content to internal teams and customers.
  • Manages the development and maintaining printed and digital marketing materials such as product catalogs, product announcements, customer price sheets, presentations, trade show materials, social media, and other various materials to support brand recognition, products, and sales.
  • Manages the creation of banner ads, adding new product listings, and maintaining web pages with up-to-date content and images as required. Help design layouts, maintain A+ pages, develop landing pages, and update online retail storefronts.
  • Research advertising opportunities, assists in generating digital and print ads, organizes content and communicates with vendors and coordinates with internal teams on ad campaigns, and helps generate and edit promotional videos.
  • Responsible for researching, crafting through team collaboration, and maintaining product features and benefits.
  • Proofreads printed and digital marketing materials for grammar, spelling, consistent up-to-date messaging, and updated images to enhance and ensure content is correct, accurate and complies with style guides and brand messaging. Helps maintain product copy.
  • Provides documentation, direction and feedback on artwork, design techniques and brand style guides to designers to maintain consistent product and packaging presentation.
  • Follows up on customer requests for ad and catalog proofing, images, and product copy. This also includes interfacing with customer portals for uploading content.
  • Assists in sourcing and creating corporate apparel, premiums, and advertising.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Marketing, Graphic Design, Advertising, or similar area of study. 5+ years of experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (including but not limited to Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign).
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (including but not limited to Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
  • Experience with HTML, CSS, and WordPress platform.
  • Proven understanding of print layout, including master pages, layers, tables, export settings, press requirements, style sheets, fonts, color profiles/palettes, pagination, and graphic manipulation.
  • Print knowledge and understanding of type design. Knowledgeable in multiple aspects of print production and print process techniques.
  • Understanding and experience with a wide variety of media standards.
  • Ability to prioritize workload and complete multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently and in collaborative team environment.
  • Positive, collaborative, flexible attitude with a desire to achieve results.
  • Proficient in proof reading/editing copy and processing copy changes.
  • Demonstrates good oral and written communication skills and follow written and verbal directions.
  • Continually updating presentation and technical software skills.
