Manager, Finance

The Position

Arch Insurance Group Inc., AIGI, has an opening with the Finance Department as a Manager, Finance.

This role will have the responsibility for many aspects of losses, from review to booking as well as analysis. This role will additionally provide all necessary financial support for assigned book of business, with a focus on accuracy, as well as internal and external communication. This is a growing business, so this role will be involved in the Datastores, which is a strategic initiative at Arch.

Job Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the claims and claims finance teams to understand the business and provide the financial operational support needed.
  • Communication and interaction with IT personnel, TPA\xe2\x80\x99s, and various external and internal contacts on a day-to-day basis.
  • Review of binders/documentation to ensure accounting is in line with contract terms, using strong attention to detail.
  • Preparation and review of gross and ceded loss entries.
  • Review and approve breached deductibles.
  • Gain familiarity with insurance contract terms for deductible analysis and review (e.g. retentions, aggregate retentions, clash/basket retentions, corridor retentions, etc.)
  • Assist with testing and implementation of new systems/processes.
  • Help identify inefficiencies and implement more efficiencies in the operational aspects of accounting.
  • Perform routine research and maintenance on policies, specific claims and loss information.
  • Maintain and review monthly and quarterly reports.
  • Review and verify quarterly calculation data output for Construction, National Accounts & Retail Energy.
  • Review and update existing documentation and provide insights on enhancements to the overall process.
  • Completion of key assignments/special projects that may be assigned from time to time.
Required Skills/Experience
  • Minimum 8 years of North American property and casualty insurance industry experience.
  • CPCU or other Insurance designations is a plus.
Education
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in finance or accounting required
  • Total individual compensation (base salary, short & long-term incentives) offered will take into account a number of factors including but not limited to geographic location, scope & responsibilities of the role, qualifications, talent availability & specialization as well as business needs. For individuals assigned or hired to work in Jersey City, New York City, and/ or Westchester County, the base salary range is listed below. This range is as of the time of posting. Position is incentive eligible.

$79,900 - $107,900

Total individual compensation (base salary, short & long-term incentives) offered will take into account a number of factors including but not limited to geographic location, scope & responsibilities of the role, qualifications, talent availability & specialization as well as business needs. The above range may be modified in the future
