Job Description


This role provides oversight of the financial operations and risk management of multiple WDW Facilities & Operations Services (FOS) businesses [Liquid Fuels, Transportation Maintenance and Support Services] and the Reedy Creek Improvement District\xe2\x80\x99s (RCID) Utility Division. The position reports to the WDW Director of Finance supporting FOS. Additionally, the position has a fiduciary reporting relationship to the District Comptroller. Responsibilities:

  • Lead the AOP, forecast, and LTP processes for all associated areas and provide financial and analytical support in ad hoc analyses for the businesses
  • Develop and share a holistic perspective of area performance, costs, strategies, risks, opportunities, and issues
  • Effectively communicate financial information to executive level leadership and develop executive level presentations
  • For Utilities:
    • Provide strategic utility rate planning in collaboration with District Leadership
    • Provide all required governmental financial and risk management reporting including support of the annual RCID financial audit
    • Provide support with the development, analysis and implementation of projects
    • Interpret policy as it relates to business dealings within the District
  • Coordinate the hedging of commodities (liquid fuels and natural gas) with corporate treasury and leadership
  • Develop a team of diverse Cast Members to ensure their continued growth and foster an inclusive environment and culture of caring
Basic Qualifications: (Minimum qualifications you need to be considered for the job)
  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant finance experience
  • Leadership experience with strong financial and analytical background
  • Experience in rate making, budget development, revenue forecasting, and capital planning
  • Strong presentation and interpersonal (verbal and written) skills, able to communicate effectively with partners at all levels, develop relationships, and influence change
  • Ability to lead projects, formalize an approach to an issue/problem, and influence a solution
  • Strong sense of responsibility and ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple priorities
  • A passion for problem-solving, process improvement, and intellectual curiosity
  • Strong knowledge of financial processes and systems, proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of governmental accounting and/or the utility & liquid fuel businesses
  • Knowledge of evaluating environmental projects including cost versus benefit analysis
  • Financial leadership experience with utility organizations including those with diverse rate making requirements
  • Financial leadership experience with Florida municipal entities
Required Education:
  • Bachelor\'s degree or equivalent in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, mathematics, or other relevant analytical field
Preferred Education:
  • MBA or other role related graduate degree
