Job Description


The Manager, Finance oversees the financial planning and analysis processes and requirements across the Eyecare and Legacy AGN Specialty study budgets. Provides financial guidance in compliance with financial policies, prepares management analysis of actual vs. benchmark results, provides business decision support and leads key projects and initiatives to improve financial processes. The Finance Manager interacts with all levels of finance and business management. Provides required planning deliverables to meet R&D HQ FP&A requirements to adhere to AbbVie Corporate FP&A requirements.

  • Oversee/manage all aspects of monthly, quarterly, Plan and LRP (Long Range Plan) and LBEs (Latest Business Estimate) as required for Eyecare and Legacy AGN Study Budgets. Partners with business and proposes solutions to achieve budget within guidelines and to operate within approved budget.
  • Oversee the transition of Legacy Allergan international affiliate entities onto the AbbVie affiliate pass through payment process.
  • Understands monthly results and both prepares and reviews meaningful monthly management reporting packages with businesses.
  • Provides relevant variance analysis for each planning cycle and develops meaningful management reporting schedules and ensures accuracy and predictability of results and key metrics.
  • Lead financial discussions with Therapeutic and Finance leadership providing insights as of components of Clinical spend and implications of changes to enable informed decision-making.
  • Manage and compile monthly SAP vs Quantam clinical payment process reconciliation and related OUS Balance Sheet reconciliation.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Finance or Accounting. CPA or MBA a plus
  • Minimum 7+ years of progressive and/or related experience
  • Self-starter with ability to operate independently, drive processes, identify and implement process improvements, establish and adjust priorities to achieve objectives and operate with speed and agility.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written), with all levels of management and including the ability to listen well and to influence others that do not report directly.
  • Ability to identify process improvement opportunities and aptitude for continuous improvement and change
  • Proficient in SAP, TM1 and Excel
  • Strong financial, analytical and problem solving skills
