The Operations Manager is responsible for coordinating patient care and daily operations for all of the Pain Management Center locations. Oversees the navigation of Spine Center referrals. The Operations Manager participates in all activities to achieve clinical, financial and organizational outcomes. Patient satisfaction, physician satisfaction, patient throughput, clinical practice, patient safety and quality are the responsibility of the Operations Manager. The candidate will facilitate collaborative and team partnerships within the interdisciplinary setting, including nursing, medical, behavioral health, administrative and radiology services. Promotes, develops and evaluates processes and systems for patient care and initiates system improvements. The Operations Manager is responsible for human resource management for all clinical staff including but not limited to hiring, orienting, scheduling and professional staff development. Clinical staff reporting to the Operations Manager include: RN, RT, Social Work.

  • Establish service priorities, work routine and flow patterns and monitor work flow to assure prompt and efficient delivery of services.
  • Investigate and report customer complaints. Ensures follow up with customer to achieve customer satisfaction. Collaborates with Patient Advocate.
  • Assists in various outreach functions including, but not limited to; client support, ensuring physician/client satisfaction, community outreach education and services.
  • Maintains a safe and healthy environment for patients, visitors, and/or staff to provide the highest level of physical comfort, and minimize risk and injury
  • Ensures compliance with regulations to maintain accreditation, licensure and certification.
  • Assumes accountability for remaining current regarding standards of care established by the profession, regulatory & accreditation bodies and hospital policy and procedures
  • Demonstrates initiative, recognizing and embracing opportunities for improvement
  • Ensures that patient care regimens are coordinated interdependently with all members of the health care team
  • Facilitates the constructive management of conflict
  • Investigates UR reports and takes corrective actions
  • Monitors financial performance (expenses, revenues, and productivity) and justifies monthly budget variances
  • Ensures that staffing patterns meet work requirements and that all employee are competent (annually training, and annual performance evaluations are complete)
  • Effect cost control measures in the utilization of personnel, supplies, materials, equipment, etc.
  • Facilitates unit-based performance improvement and patient/employee safety programs and projects
  • Demonstrates respect and regard for the dignity of all patients, families, visitors, and fellow employees to ensure a professional, responsible, and courteous environment.
  • Commits to recognize and respect cultural diversity for all customers (internal and external).
  • Communicates effectively with internal and external customers with respect of differences in cultures, values, beliefs and ages, utilizing interpreters when needed.
