POSITION TITLE: Facility Admission Manager (Exempt)

DEPARTMENT: Facility Admission / Intake Team

REPORTS DIRECTLY TO: Facility Director of Admissions

REPORTS DIRECTLY TO: Director of Admissions

SUPERVISES: Admissions Specialists



I. POSITION SUMMARY:



The Facility admission Manager provides supervision, education and motivation to the Admissions specialist in compliance with Bradford's Corporate Intake Standards. Collaborates with Access Team, Central Admissions Team and Admitting Facility to ensure the quality of the admission process. Utilizing skills and knowledge, the Facility admission Manager assists and guides the Admissions specialist in overcoming objectives in the admission process and assures appropriate documentation of the consult guideline, callbacks, and the intake retrieval system software.



II. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:



Provide supervision and oversight of the day-to-day patient admissions process - ensuring patients arriving for admission are routed through the admission process with dignity and efficiently. Supports and assists the Facility admission Director in all areas of departmental staff supervision, including:

Creating and demonstrating a professional work environment

Monitoring all measurements and practices to assure departmental standards are met or exceeded.

Providing ongoing training to staff in all areas.

Collaborate with corporate, facility, and regional office management to assure goals are met. Ensure staff possesses a working knowledge of appropriate emergency, benevolent and/or self- help referral information. Monitor weekly departmental work schedules to ensure coverage for all necessary functions. Performs Admissions Specialist duties, when necessary. Perform vital sign assessments, when necessary.



III. ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:



A. Education and Experience:



High School Degree or equivalent required. College degree preferred. Demonstrate excellent communication (written and verbal) skills required. Comfortable working with the public 2+ years of progressive responsibility in the Crisis Response Division preferred




B. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:



Must be CPR certified and capable of administering CPR. Be an example of our core values daily and hold yourself accountable to Bradford standards and policies and procedures. Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with referrals, other members of management, coworkers, patients, potential patients and families. Maintain appropriate professional boundaries and confidentiality, including a working knowledge of 45 CFR "Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act" and 42 C.F.R. Part 2 "Confidentiality of Alcohol and Drug Abuse Patient Records" with respect to patient and potential patient identifying information and health information. This position has unrestricted access to identifying information and health information concerning patients, potential patients and participants. Must maintain a professional demeanor and appearance, must not appear impaired or disoriented, but rather must present coherent and articulate speech, kept appearance, alert, oriented, and responsive to patients', potential patients' and families' needs and concerns. Demonstrate knowledge of substance use and substance use disorders Demonstrate knowledge of marketing and customer service. Demonstrate basic computer skills and tying proficiency. Other duties as assigned.



C. Physical Requirements:



Able to walk approximately one-half mile within facility and on premises per eight hours. Able to continuously sit from one-half hour to four hours per eight hours. Able to frequently ascend and descend stairs. Able to frequently lift and move up to thirty pounds.



D. Other Requirements:



If recovering, two years of continuous, verifiable sobriety. (See Sobriety Policy.) Must be able to work in a constant state of alertness as to perform the job in a safe manner. Regular attendance; including conference calls and onsite meetings, as necessary Able to travel as needed. Must have reliable transportation. Able to work in a cooperative manner with coworkers, managers, perspective patients, patients, and families. Pass a criminal background check. Maintain a valid driver's license, personal automobile liability insurance, and a driving record permitting coverage under company's automobile liability policy if necessary.
