Plans, organizes, develops, and manages the processes and programming designed to facilitate the onboarding and support of prospective and new students. Implements and manages processes related to the admissions funnel including applications, communications, planning, implementing, administering, and evaluating projects and services impacting the College operations.
Provides direction and supervision to the daily operations of the Admissions Operations and Student Support Guide staff as part of the department of Admissions & Outreach with College policies and procedures; serves as a liaison to the Academic & Workforce Education Unit, Office of Records & Registration, Office of Veteran & Military Services, Cashier/Financial Services, and the Office of K-12 Relations to establish and coordinate admission and outreach processes.

Provide leadership to the areas as assigned to the Office of Admissions & Outreach to be intuitive to the feelings and interests of a diverse population of students and staff.
Serve as an example to staff as part of an enthusiastic and supportive environment that encourages student success.
Responsible for being knowledgeable of and able to oversee staff who work within multiple college systems.
Develop and evaluate ways to communicate, follow up and keep students on track through the admission process.
Perform analysis, develop documentation and create end-user procedures as needed.
Onboard, train, and manage the Operations team and Student Support Guide staff including scheduling and daily oversight and serve as back-up to the Recruitment Manager as needed.
Responsible for Welcome Center operations and ensuring the Welcome Desks are staffed district wide.
Communicate and maintain liaisons with students, institutional units, staff and external agencies related to student admissions operations processes and procedures.
Responsible for decisions regarding exceptions related to departmental procedures and practices.
Responsible for developing, managing and distributing admission reports as directed by supervisor.
Monitor recruitment conversion rates to evaluate the effectiveness and efficiencies of admissions operations on an ongoing basis in conjunction with the Director of Admissions & Outreach.
Maintain departmental pages on the My Macomb website and departmental electronic forms.
Responsible for overseeing, troubleshooting, and maintaining the Placement Testing Services systems.
Responsible for overseeing, troubleshooting, and maintaining the Macomb OneCard systems.
Responsible for the overall management of the departmental ACD line and all departmental mailboxes, Teams, texting services, and chatbots.
Support policies and standards for departmental systems to ensure data integrity as directed by the Director of Admissions & Outreach.
Responsible for overseeing, troubleshooting, and evaluating the effectiveness and efficiency of the admission account and application processes.
To ensure consistency district-wide, collaborate with the Recruitment Manager, Admissions & Outreach, to develop plans and tools for reaching targeted segments including the coordination of email, phone, and written communications that maximizes the teamwork and efficiency of all Student Support Guide staff.
Develop and make presentations to the College and external associations as directed.
Assist with events, outreach, and admissions systems as assigned.
Participate in the development of long- and short-range department goals, plans and policies, as well as College-wide strategic planning.
Serve on college committees as assigned.
Perform related duties as assigned.
Four years of management experience, including oversight of full and part-time staff required. Four years of experience in admissions, recruitment/secondary outreach, high school relations or related admissions environment with evidence of proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and student information systems. Experience with Ellucian Colleague systems, Recruit and Business Objects preferred.
