Manager - Accounting

We\xe2\x80\x99re looking for a dynamic Manager of Accounting with strong leadership and analytical abilities to join our team. Duties include overseeing closing activities, providing monthly variance analysis and reporting, as well as annual report preparation. This role ensures the integrity of accounting information in accordance with company practices and GAAP (generally accepted accounting principles).

Primary Responsibilities

• Ensure high quality accounting reporting and controlling for the company according to GAAP reporting, Hope procedural standards and regulatory requirements.
• Manage preparation of annual audited financial statements along with requisite footnotes and disclosure detail. Coordinate audit activity in support of these statements.
• Coordinate monthly closing process and oversee maintenance of the general ledger and financial statements
• Ensure appropriate accounting controls
• Routinely interact with internal and external customers, provide accounting guidance for internal business groups
• Coordinate preparation of quarterly and annual regulatory financial reports
• Support regulatory filings and requests
• Perform special projects and ad hoc analysis as requested by the Accounting and Finance leadership team.
• Support the implementation of the S/4-Hana ERP system
• Perform other duties as requested or assigned.

Main Qualifications

• 8+ years of general accounting experience or 5+ years of experience working in public accounting, utility accounting experience highly preferred
• Comprehensive knowledge of U.S. GAAP practices and procedures
• CPA preferred
• Excellent computer skills including Excel
• Excellent leadership, organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• High degree of personal initiative and self-motivation
• SAP and BW experience preferred.
