Job Description




Position Purpose
The Management Analyst performs a wide range of analytical work to assist the department in resolving budget, administrative, and management issues. Gathers, compiles, and analyzes data for various departments and ensures accuracy of information and efficiency in process.
Building Services Department:
This position is in the Building Services Department and will focus on customer operations in the Customer Care division, evaluating, analyzing and reporting on unit operations, work flow and overall work quality, managing special events & set ups, supervising employees of the unit, monitoring and training on the use of the CMMS system, and other special projects and initiatives as needed.

Essential Functions
1 Monitors, evaluates, and reviews budgets and expenditures for programs, projects, grants, and departments; prepares and reviews personnel actions, agenda items, budget changes, accounting activities, and other administrative functions; ensures compliance with various City policies and procedures. 2 Researches, organizes, compiles, summarizes, and analyzes data, statistics, and information for special projects, programs, and planning; develops keen recommendations, documents findings, and presents sound evidence based on analysis; prepares and presents extensive reports to management and other agencies. 3 Evaluates, analyzes, and reports on operations, work flow, and overall work quality; provides statistical analysis of departmental practices and methods; researches technical transactions and operations to resolve questions and validate data; collaborates with multiple departments to provide analysis and recommendation on process improvement projects and initiatives. 4 Serves as a resource for administrative, operational, and technical staff across multiple departments; provides direction, guidance, and help regarding analysis issues and other asset management concerns; provides supervision to limited staff when needed. 5 Analyzes, researches, and evaluates current trends and issues impacting the City and its work; resolves departmental concerns and problems that arise from changing trends; performs an extensive range of technical, analytical, and general administrative duties. 6 Coordinates information and ensures effective and efficient communications between departments; clarifies and reconciles funds, grants, budgets, and accounting issues and procedures; provides and explains technical and financial information to external agencies and City staff and management. 7 Drafts, prepares, and submits grant applications for necessary funding; monitors compliance and adherence to grant requirements and specifics; prepares and presents required funding reports and compiles reimbursement documents; maintains, manages, organizes, and stores records required by funding agencies. 8 Attends various meetings, manages customer notices, and provides ongoing analysis to foster the City\xe2\x80\x99s goals, objectives, and standards. 9 Performs any and all other work as needed or assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
EDUCATION:


  • Bachelor\'s degree in a business administration, public administration, statistics, or social science field.
EXPERIENCE:
  • Three (3) years of professional level experience performing organizational policy/program/process analysis and developing and/or implementing improvement initiatives.
EQUIVALENCIES:
  • High school diploma or GED plus seven (7) years of the required experience will meet the education and experience requirements.
  • Associate degree in any field plus five (5) years of the required experience will meet the education and experience requirements.
  • Bachelor\'s degree or higher in a non-specified field plus five (5) years of the required experience will meet the education and experience requirements.
  • Master\'s degree or higher in a specified field plus one (1) year of the required experience will meet the education and experience requirements.
LICENSE :
  • Valid driver\'s license with good driving record.

Supplemental Information

1 Knowledge of principles of program evaluation, organizational planning, research design and analysis.
2 Knowledge of principles of record keeping, case files, and records management.
3 Knowledge of project and grant management.
4 Knowledge of principles of mathematical computations, statistical analysis, government accounting, and budget administration.
5 Ability to solve problems and recommend solutions.
6 Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, projects, and demands.
7 Ability to troubleshoot and implement technical solutions.
8 Ability to analyze problems, identify solutions, and recommend techniques for resolution.

The salary listed on this job posting is the starting salary range; amount offered will depend upon qualifications.


For evaluation purposes, acceptable qualifying experience for all positions must have been in a paid capacity unless noted otherwise in the minimum qualifications for the posted position.

Additionally, 30+ hours per week will be counted as full-time employment and will receive full credit for the amount of time employed. A minimum of 15 through 29 work hours per week will be counted as part-time employment and will receive half credit for the amount of time employed.
