Job Description

Currently hiring a full-time maintenance technician for a small real estate management firm in Oklahoma City. Independent Contractor option also available.

Technician will perform daily maintenance of single-family homes, condos, and apartment units (minor plumbing, electrical, and HVAC repairs, general 'handyman' repairs and make ready tasks). Must have reliable transportation, their own tools, and a basic understanding & willingness to use email and computers.

The ideal candidate will be able to work autonomously and responsibly by observing all health and safety guidelines. The goal is to maintain all properties and common areas in the best possible condition.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1). Complete all service requests in a timely manner.

2). Routinely inspect properties, roofs, and common areas and recommend / complete required maintenance.

3). Complete minor repairs / maintenance as needed, including unclogging drains, repairing toilets, replacing lights and fixtures, etc.

4). Complete make readies including drywall repair, patching, painting, minor carpentry, lock changes, flooring repairs, etc).

5). Arrive on time, prepared for the jobs and tasks listed (which will be made available to you in advance).

6). Coordinate with property manager if job is larger or more difficult than expected.
7). Be respectful to our customers and the properties that you are working on / with.
8). Complete all repairs in the correct manner the first time - no shortcuts!
9). Communicate with property managers throughout the day with status and updates.
10). Properly account for your time spent at each job
11). To be detailed in your comments of what the job entailed (as it was completed)
