Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and be proficient in various maintenance tasks across residential and commercial facilities. This role requires a proactive approach to troubleshooting and repairing equipment, ensuring that all systems operate efficiently and effectively. The Maintenance Technician will also be responsible for maintaining a safe and functional environment for all occupants.

Responsibilities

Perform routine maintenance and repairs on electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC, and other facility equipment. Utilize tools such as an ohmmeter to diagnose electrical issues and ensure proper functionality. Conduct inspections of facilities to identify potential maintenance needs and address them promptly. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS). Interpret schematics and blueprints to assist in troubleshooting and repairs. Execute residential painting tasks as needed to maintain aesthetic standards. Collaborate with team members to lead projects related to facility upgrades or improvements. Perform welding tasks when required for repairs or installations. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean work environment.

Requirements

Proven experience in facilities maintenance or a related field. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot various systems. Proficiency in using tools such as an ohmmeter for electrical diagnostics. Familiarity with CMMS software for tracking maintenance tasks. Ability to read and interpret schematics and blueprints effectively. Experience in residential painting is preferred but not mandatory. Leadership skills to guide team efforts on maintenance projects. Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
