About the Role:

The Maintenance Technician supports the aluminum extrusion process by performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on handling systems, ovens, saws, and related equipment. This role is critical for ensuring uptime, safety, and consistent product quality in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain a clean, safe, and healthy working environment. Perform preventive maintenance on all production equipment to reduce downtime. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and automation systems. Maintain inventories of shop supplies, including safety, machining, and facility maintenance supplies. Ensure facility compliance on environmental regulations, including equipment operation, inspections, training, and reporting requirements. Prioritize minimizing machine downtime whenever possible. Complete all work orders accurately and in a timely manner. Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for equipment issues. Perform other projects and duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree preferred. Minimum of 3 years' experience in industrial or mechanical maintenance (preferred but not required). Strong understanding of mechanical, hydraulic systems, and automation controls (preferred). Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals. Excellent troubleshooting skills and effective communication abilities.

Pay: $23.95 - $28.84 per hour

Expected hours: 45 per week
