Head of Maintenance
, you will play a vital role in overseeing daily maintenance activities, managing a team of technicians, and implementing preventive maintenance programs to uphold safety and operational efficiency. Weekend availability is essential to ensure uninterrupted support for hotel operations during peak times.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and supervise a team of maintenance technicians, ensuring high standards of performance, safety, and customer service.
Manage maintenance and repairs of all facility systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical equipment.
Operate and oversee a
Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
to schedule, assign, and track maintenance tasks.
Perform routine facility inspections to identify issues, ensure code compliance, and maintain safety standards.
Develop, implement, and monitor preventive maintenance plans to minimize downtime and reduce long-term costs.
Support capital improvement projects, facility upgrades, and new installations by coordinating with contractors and project teams.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment logs, work orders, and inventory of parts and supplies.
Train and mentor maintenance staff in safety procedures, troubleshooting techniques, and equipment handling.
Respond to emergency maintenance issues, including after-hours or weekend calls when necessary.
Qualifications
Proven experience in a
maintenance leadership role
, preferably within a hotel, industrial, or commercial facility.
Strong hands-on knowledge of
HVAC systems, electrical systems (including high and low voltage), plumbing
, and general building maintenance.
Proficiency in
reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
.
Familiarity with
project management practices
and the ability to manage multiple ongoing tasks.
Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and time management skills.
Experience with tools and diagnostic equipment, including multimeters and ohmmeters.
Strong communication skills in English (verbal and written); bilingual candidates are a plus.
Ability to work collaboratively with other departments and vendors.
Weekend availability is required
; flexibility to support hotel operations during peak and emergency periods.
