Maintenance Mechanic Review

Maintenance support for Lehman-Roberts asphalt plants, Memphis Stone & Gravel wash plants and rolling stock.

Maintenance Mechanic Responsibilities

• Welding using oxygen acetylene, Stick and Mig
• Layout and cut steel using oxygen acetylene cutting torch
• Fabricate and weld various parts of asphalt and wash plants
• Safe usage of shop equipment, including shear, break press, punch press and radial saw
• Safe usage of fabrication shop forklifts
• Rebuild/ repair gearboxes, pumps and cylinders
• Share in company core values of humility, relationships, continuous improvement and stewardship

Maintenance Mechanic Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, required
• Valid driver s license, with good driving record
• Have reliable transportation
• Minimum 5 years experience in all position welding
• Minimum 3 years experience in steel fabrication
• Valid driver s license and clean driving record
• Ability to work Saturdays and overtime as needed
• Working knowledge of pumps, gearboxes and cylinders, a plus
• Ability to work in Memphis, TN and will later be located in Hernando, MS

Work Conditions/ Physical Requirements

• Primarily inside shop work, exposures consistent with welding environment
• Plant site work, as needed
• Ability to lift 50 lbs
