Job Overview:

Maintenance Mechanic II:

The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining a variety of mechanical and electrical manufacturing equipment, while meeting productivity requirements and maintaining KDP\xe2\x80\x99s high standards in safety and quality.

Shift / Schedule: This position will work 3rd shift 10:00pm - 6:30am Monday - Friday: Flexibility and availability to work overtime and holidays based on business needs.

Compensation: This is a full-time position with a pay rate of $29.54/hr

Position Responsibilities: * Maintain a safe and healthy environment, demonstrating safe behaviors always.

  • Focus on Good Manufacturing and Food Safety practices in all work.
  • Analyze mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic or electrical problems and make repairs through adjustments, defective parts replacement, or fabrication.
  • Wire moderately complex control circuits.
  • Teach basic mechanical skills to line operators to support autonomous maintenance, TPM functions, equipment set-up and centerlining.
  • Fabricate, repair, and install hangers and all types of piping including hot/cold water, steam, process and condensate, utilizing formulas for all phases.
  • Ability to quickly learn to weld and machine metals, plastics, and composites.
  • Fabricate or replicate minor pieces for the repair or replacement of parts on equipment.
  • Complete size changeovers and troubleshoot liquid fillers and packaging equipment.
  • Identify root causes of mechanical, electrical and control failures and resolve with effective problem-solving tools with minimal downtime or supervision.
  • Troubleshoot and program minor changes in Allen Bradley PLC (SLC500, MicroLogix, CompactLogix and ControlLogix).
  • Generate productivity and continuous improvement ideas.
  • Demonstrate KDP values of Team First, Deliver Big, Think Bold, Being Fearless and Fair.
Requirements: * 1-year maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment or equivalent education
  • Self-motivated team player with the ability and willingness to make decisions, effectively communicate, problem solve and teach others.
  • Lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to frequently walk, kneel, squat, climb, bend, stoop, and twist.
  • Ability to work in a variety of temperature and humidity conditions.
Total Rewards:

Hourly Pay: $29.54/hr
