Job Description

Summary

Operates and adjust semi-automatic or automatic numerically controlled machine tools to perform standard and repetitive sequences, as well unload and move material. Assist with all tasks within fabrication shop as needed.

Areas of responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

Set up and operate fabricating machines such as brakes, rolls, shears, saws, profilers, grinders, and drill presses Cuts, joins, jackets, etc. materials to produce sub-assemblies or finished product from raw materials Track production on work orders and notify leadership of any mechanical or material issues Attach appropriate labels and tags to products and packages Move parts into position, manually or with forklift or pallet jack Set up face blocks, jigs and fixtures Mark reference points onto floors or face blocks and transpose them to workpieces Unload pallets and move material within fabrication shop as needed Maintain a clean and safe work area

Education, Skills, Experience, and Knowledge

Previous fabrication experience preferred Teamwork and multi-tasking skills Must be able to operate a forklift and/or pallet jack Must be able to operate measuring devices Must be able to read/understand documents, follow written instructions, and work independently Ability to write legibly and communicate clearly with professionalism and courtesy

Physical demands may include but are not limited to:

High level of walking, standing, and/or climbing Stooping, bending, kneeling, and reaching Work outside/inside around machinery with moving parts and vehicles Exposure to all seasons of weather, as well as slippery and uneven surfaces Must be able to lift a minimum of 60lbs
