Job Description

Partner with Floor Leader(s) to make our customers successful by embracing AJAs Vision. Under general direction of the Floor Leader, Fabrication, is responsible for operating sheet metal fabrication equipment per specifications and standard operating procedures




Candidate Profile:



Operates fabrication equipment including but not limited to drill presses, hardware insertion, de-burring and other small machines. Works with Floor Leaders to ensure quality control on product lines and maintenance of standard operating procedures. Maintains inventory accuracy and raw materials Read an interpret blueprints including material gauge and tolerances Perform first/last article quality check Follows and advocates adherence of safety policies and procedures. Performs other related duties as assigned by Floor Leader(s).

Other Considerations:



High School Diploma or equivalent; additional education (Preferred). 1-2 years experience with fabrication equipment to include: drill presses. Foodservice manufacturing industry (Preferred). Basic organizational skills, interpersonal and communication skills. Self-motivated, a team player with the ability to follow directions in a multi-task environment. Ability to differentiate colors, use basic hand tools, read engineering blueprints and bill of materials. Basic computer skills (i.e. ability to use mouse, windows). Must be able to operate most fabrication equipment; must have strong mechanical aptitude. Knowledge of production/quality standards, and assembly procedures/processes (Preferred).

Physical Requirements: Ability to stand at fabrication equipment for 6-8 hours Must be able to lift/push/pull/carry up to 50 pounds Must be able to perform Team Lift to lift/push/pull/carry up to 80 pounds Work conditions are normal for a fabrication manufacturing environment Work environment requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to: eye safety goggles, steel toe shoes/boots, and hearing protections
