Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Machine Maintenance Technician who is a capable problem solver to work at either of our injection molding facilities in Salt Lake City. They will maintain, service, and improve the injection molding and auxiliary equipment. Additionally, they will troubleshoot equipment effectively and maintain a clean workspace. The ideal candidate will be able to successfully repair or adjust electrical/mechanical equipment to limit outside consultations.

Your Day to Day:

1. Follow all safety requirements, policies, and take action to correct issues when found

2. Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair all items related to the molding process and supporting equipment

3. General maintenance duties relating to the manufacturing plant

4. Support preventative maintenance initiatives and daily repair of auxiliary and molding equipment

5. Function effectively in a team environment

6. Startup and shutdown of all production equipment and systems

7. Assist with mold changes and insert changes per the production schedule

8. Ability to assemble/disassemble injection molding machines and supporting equipment as required for repairs and installation

9. Work with team members and supporting departments such as process technicians, tooling, production, and supervisors

10. Maintain proper records of work performed through maintenance request orders (IQMS)

11. Support production and follow all company policies relating to safety, quality, and ISO

12. Work overtime as needed

13. Demonstrate a strong commitment to maintaining a clean organized, and efficient workplace by applying the principles of 5S.

Actively participate in keeping the work environment orderly. Identify opportunities to improve workflows. Adhere to established standards to ensure safety, quality, and productivity Support continuous improvement by fostering an atmosphere of respect for materials, equipment, and shared spaces. Encourage team accountability for sustaining a well-organized workplace.

What We Would Love About You:

1. 5+ years of experience in mold maintenance or a related field within an injection molding environment.

2. Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with mold components and functions.

3. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.

4. Proficient with hand tools, measuring instruments, and shop equipment.

5. Basic computer skills for documentation and communication.

6. Experience working with mechanical, electrical equipment

7. Effective communication and teamwork skills.

8. Experience with hot runner systems and hydraulic/pneumatic mold components.

9. Familiarity with IQMS or other maintenance tracking systems.

10. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
