Job Summary:

Western Idaho Cabinets is looking for a dedicated and technically proficient Machine Maintenance Technician to maintain and repair our woodworking machinery. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and uninterrupted operation of our manufacturing processes, contributing to our reputation for delivering high-quality custom cabinetry and woodworking products.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct routine inspections of machinery and equipment to identify potential issues or areas requiring maintenance. Perform preventative maintenance tasks on woodworking machinery, including lubrication, cleaning, and parts replacement. Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical and electrical issues on various woodworking machines, such as saws, routers, and CNC machines. Collaborate with the production team to address machinery-related problems and minimize downtime. Keep detailed maintenance records, including work performed, parts used, and maintenance schedules. Recommend and implement improvements to enhance machine efficiency and safety. Assist in the installation of new machinery, ensuring it meets safety and operational standards. Any other maintenance related task.
Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational or technical training in machine maintenance is preferred. 5-10+ years of experience in machine maintenance or a similar role, with specific experience in woodworking machinery preferred. Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Knowledge of safety protocols and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment. Basic computer skills for logging maintenance activities and ordering parts. Welding and fabrication skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 60 per week
