Lift Operator Employment Opportunity at The Hermitage Club

Job Summary:

Are you passionate about providing exceptional service in a dynamic and beautiful environment? The Hermitage Club is seeking dedicated Lift Operators to ensure the safety and enjoyment of our members and guests as they experience our ski resort. As a Lift Operator, you will play a key role in delivering outstanding service by overseeing the safe loading, riding, and unloading of chairlifts, assisting members and guests with their needs, and contributing to the overall experience at our exclusive resort.

Key Responsibilities:

Greet all members and guests with enthusiasm, offering a warm and welcoming environment. Prioritize safety at all times, making quick and sound decisions to ensure the well-being of our guests. Oversee and assist in the safe loading and unloading of chairlifts. Verify passes/lift tickets as required, ensuring a smooth operational flow. Assist in snow removal, daily set-up, and routine maintenance of the work area to keep operations running smoothly. Provide guests with trail information, conditions, and instructions to enhance their experience. Collaborate closely with Ski Patrol and Lift Maintenance teams to address and resolve any issues that may arise. Conduct pre-operational checks and maintain accurate reports and log books. Answer guest questions and direct them to the appropriate locations and services within the Club. Support other departments as needed to ensure seamless operations.

Job Requirements:

Must be at least 18 years of age. Valid driver's license with no restrictions and satisfactory MVR check. Ability to lift, pull, and/or move 75 lbs or more and shovel snow for extended periods. Ability to stand for long periods and work outside in wintry weather conditions. Strong communication skills, with the ability to read, write, and understand English. Positive attitude with a willingness to work flexibly and adapt to changing circumstances. Adherence to the Hermitage Club's appearance code and safety policy. Prior lift operations or ski resort experience is a plus, but not required.

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

The role requires physical strength and stamina to perform tasks such as lifting heavy objects and shoveling snow. Must be comfortable working outdoors in varying winter conditions for long durations. Flexibility to adapt to unpredictable circumstances and change.

Must be able to read, write, and understand English, keeping daily logs accurately. Flexibility and adaptability to changing conditions, including weather and guest needs, are essential.
