Location: Phoenix, AZ Compensation: $17.36 - $26.91 (DOE/MAX)

OBJECTIVE AND POSITION SUMMARY The Lending Coordinator is responsible for all front desk daily tasks in matters related to operations and administration support of Home Lending. Receives, reviews, and verifies sensitive customer documentation for accuracy and completeness. Obtains necessary information (i.e., loan applications, credit, and income documents, contact housing agencies for grant funds, etc.) to assist process and complete files. This position will communicate with individual applicants in-person or over the phone seeking down payment funds to purchase a home to appropriately respond or provide program eligibility criteria required. Act as a liaison between the Loan Originator and the Underwriter, follows lending and/or grant funds guidelines are met, and essential information is verified preventing errors to avoid time delay for underwriting to perform a prudent risk assessment and/or to provide grant funds as requested. He/she is responsible for preparing complete grant applications for Underwriting decision in a timely, and accurate manner. Assist in preparation of monthly reports as requested. Conduct Assurance/Compliance reviews and is responsible for ongoing quality control functions to ensure loan files comply with policies, rules and procedures and generate monthly reports. PRIMARY DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Answer phone calls from existing/potential clients and assess needs to properly route to designated staff
  • Coordinates with clients to compile all necessary documentation.
  • Evaluates and obtains necessary information (i.e., applications, credit, income documents, title reports, etc.) to process and complete files.
  • Verifies all documentation for accuracy and completeness.
  • Enter data or information into loan software or online software applications
  • Assists Loan Originator / Underwriter in resolving deficiencies in documentation.
  • Reviews files under down payment requirements &/or guidelines.
  • Creates submission packages and submits to Underwriting for review.
  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Complies with all applicable state, federal regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Conduct Assurance and Compliance reviews for organization and investor requirements
  • Report and clear defects uncovered during the audit process
  • Report findings to management in a timely manner as required
  • Performs a variety of tasks, often simultaneously.
  • Maintain printer/copy and/or office supplies in stock
  • Provide administrative support including coordinating / scheduling meetings, events, or training workshops.
  • Other administrative duties as assigned.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES
  • Education /Background:
High school diploma or its equivalent and at least 3 - 5 years of related experience in the mortgage, real estate and/or financial planning industry. Required Minimum Qualifications
  • Familiarity with a variety of the concepts, practices, and procedures used in the mortgage or real estate industry.

  • Provides management with reports on loan activities.

  • Perform other functions and duties as assigned

Technology
  • Ability to learn and use database software, automated underwriting platforms, Loan Origination Systems and other specialty software as needed.

Effective January 3, 2022, all CPLC Employees and all Service Providers, are required to be Fully Vaccinated against COVID-19.
