Work Days: Monday - Friday | Work Hours: 8:00am - 5:00pm

Purpose of the Position: Responsible for reviewing and processing commercial real estate loan documentation in accordance with bank policies, title commitments, and the approved loan terms. Serves as first line of review for newly originated or modified commercial real estate loans. Coordinates with bank attorneys and title companies to ensure timely and efficient commercial real estate closings. Works with customers and bank personnel to facilitate the loan process from loan approval to closing. Serves as the primary backup to the Commercial Real Estate Construction Specialists and Relationship Assistants. Key Accountabilities:

  • Serves as the primary coordinator for the processing of pending commercial real estate loans by ordering and reviewing flood certifications, title commitments, surveys, insurance, leases, entity documents and any other required documentation.
  • Coordinates the closing of commercial real estate loans by working with title companies and attorneys.
  • Communicates with customers and vendors concerning necessary loan file documentation.
  • Reviews closing documentation to insure compliance with bank policies, title commitments, and approved loan terms.
  • Coordinates corrections and changes to documents prior to loan closing
  • Keeps lenders, support staff, customers, and title companies informed as to the status of processing and closing
  • Reviews closed loan packages received from title companies and attorneys and requests necessary corrections before granting approval for funding.
  • Funds loan proceeds to title company upon verification all loan documents have been properly executed.
  • Prepares necessary worksheets and assembles closed loan documentation for submission to document processing for loan system set-up.
  • Assists with the development of department policies and procedures to insure compliance with regulations and achieve optimal efficiency.
  • Provides backup to the Commercial Real Estate Construction Specialists and Relationship Assistants needed
  • Performs other duties as necessary.

Competencies and Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of commercial real estate terminology, legal and title requirements, and regulatory compliance
  • Strong professional verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational, prioritization, and decision making skills
  • Self starter with the ability to work independently with little supervision
  • Strong computer and word processing skills
Work Experience Requirements:
  • 2 to 4 years experience with real estate loan documentation with at least 1 year experience concentrated in commercial real estate documentation
  • Experience interacting with attorneys, title companies, lenders and borrowers
Education Requirements:
  • High school diploma
  • College level real estate courses or other commercial real estate continuing education courses preferred
