Job Description



We are currently looking for a Lending Compliance Officer for our branch located at 2605 Washington Blvd. Ogden, UT. The Lending Compliance Officer will manage all aspects of the Bank\xe2\x80\x99s lending compliance program, including origination and servicing of mortgage, commercial, and consumer loans to ensure compliance with all applicable federal and state regulations.

To qualify for this Lending Compliance Officer you must have:
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
  • 10+ years in bank/mortgage compliance and/or bank lending environment
  • Extensive knowledge of all state and federal banking regulations related to lending functions
  • Ability to research technical guidance and come to supportable conclusions
  • Ability to communicate and implement highly technical regulations to personnel with varying degrees of experience and understanding \xe2\x80\x93 either verbally or in written form
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Broad knowledge of mortgage investor eligibility requirements and underwriting guidelines
This Lending Compliance Officer position requires you to:
  • Participate as a key member and/or chairperson of the Management Compliance Committee, CRA Committee, and Fair Lending Committee; as well as other ad hoc committees as needed
  • Work as a liaison between the Bank and the regulatory agencies as it relates to compliance matters, questions and interpretations pertaining to regulations
  • Act as key point of contact for regulators and auditors during compliance related examinations and audits.
  • Develop, revise, and maintain the Bank\xe2\x80\x99s Compliance Policy Manual
  • Interpret and disseminate new compliance regulations to affected business units
  • Serve as an in-house expert to provide compliance advice and guidance to Bank personnel and address any compliance related questions
  • Work closely with the business units to facilitate a strong compliance environment
  • Assist business units in developing procedures that integrate compliance policy and procedure into business unit processes effectively and efficiently so as to ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations
  • Develop and implement a compliance monitoring program to track and remediate lending compliance exceptions and violations with appropriate reporting to business unit management, Management Compliance Committee, and Board Risk Committee as needed.
  • Develop and disseminate formal compliance training presentations to applicable Band personnel
  • Review and approve advertising and marketing materials for compliance with applicable lending regulations
  • Review and approve various customer agreements, forms, and disclosures for compliance with applicable regulations
  • Obtain and maintain the appropriate certifications and knowledge to credential the Bank\xe2\x80\x99s compliance program by attending training, webinars, classes, and conferences. Stay up-to-date on current and emerging issues relating to new or revised regulations and regulatory compliance risk.
