Learning Gardens Coordinator

We are looking for a Dynamic OPTIONS Learning Gardens Coordinator to engage, teach and coach OPTIONS participants in a variety of innovative gardening and horticulture activities to maximize life skills, socialization and community involvement.


Job Type: Full-time
Schedule: Monday to Friday 7a - 3p
Pay: $14.00

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate creativity and enthusiasm in planning weekly enrichment activities focused on Gardening and Nature for our participants.
• Design activities that engage and teach participants about the impact of gardening on our lives and the environment.
• Utilize our home-grown veggies and herbs for various activities.
• Bring participants back to the roots of \'how-to\' gardening by offering a diverse menu of activities, such as seed planting, propagating from cuttings, making farm-to-table recipes, crafts, artwork, and health and beauty items using produce from our gardens.
• Enrich the lives of individuals with disabilities by providing meaningful experiences through these activities.

Job Requirements

• Excellent organization and computer skills
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and manage priorities
• Strong interpersonal skills
