Job Description

Supports housekeeping supervisors with his/her responsibilities to attain departmental objectives. Ensures entire Hotel including guest rooms and public areas are clean and operational.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND Responsibilities:



Assists with overseeing Housekeeping operations Provides training for new Room Attendants and plays an active role in their continued development Keeps Housekeeping Supervisors informed of personnel pace, Team Member attendance, and any unusual personnel circumstances Follows established inspection policies and procedures Oversees Housekeeping operations in the absence of a Housekeeping Supervisor Handles special requests in a manner that ensures guest satisfaction Establishes and maintains rapport cross departmentally Responsible for ensuring each guest room meets established room standards to achieve guest satisfaction Ensures guest rooms are properly secured prior to occupancy and upon entering and leaving an occupied room Assists, monitors performance and ensures the completion of Housekeeping and Laundry tasks assigned to room attendants and laundry attendants on shift while maintaining quality and cleanliness standards set forth by the department Provides operational support for Housekeeping and Laundry staff on shift in the absence of a Housekeeping Supervisor Assumes the duties of Room Attendant, Laundry Attendant, Rooms Control Coordinator, and/or House Person as needed or requested Accountable for follow up with department walk throughs, and assignment of special cleaning projects as needed Ensures proper training and requires Team Members to maintain and enhance a safe, secure and comfortable environment for our guests and Team Members Must meet attendance guidelines as outlined in the Prairie Band Casino & Resort Team Member Handbook Adheres to regulatory, departmental and company policies in an ethical manner and encourages others to do the same Other duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:



Required


High School diploma / GED or 1 year of housekeeping experience in lieu of education Available to work required schedule which may include nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours as needed Strong leadership and organizational skills Professional appearance as outlined in the Prairie Band Casino & Resort Team Member Handbook Strong verbal and written communication skills Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English, bi-lingual a plus A record of satisfactory performance and reliability in all prior and current employment

Preferred


2 years previous hotel housekeeping experience


PHYSICAL, MENTAL, AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:



Physically mobile with reasonable accommodations Must be able to maneuver to all areas of the hotel Must be able to push and lift weight of up to 30 pounds Respond to visual and aural cues Able to lift, bend, walk, reach overhead, kneel, stand and grip items while working at assigned area for long periods of time Must be able to work in areas containing some noise levels and secondary smoke Read, write, speak, and understand English Must be able to work at a fast pace and in stressful situations Must be able to meet the level three or medium work requirements based on the Department of Labor Dictionary of Titles: Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly
