Responsibilities

The Procurement Lead Analyst is responsible for driving and delivering purchases for materials and services for our corporate needs. This includes formulating and administering requests for proposal/quotations/information, bid analysis, tenders, and risk evaluations. The Procurement Lead Analyst will also lead cross-functional teams to drive procurement initiatives and improve bottom line performance. Additionally, the Procurement Lead Analyst will develop and execute procurement sourcing strategies for a variety of requirements, negotiate and award large contracts, and interact regularly with senior level staff and executives.
Responsibilities

  • Formulate and administer requests for proposal/quotations/information, bid analysis, tenders, and risk evaluations.
  • Evaluate and select suppliers in accordance with the procurement policy, quality of supply, cost savings objectives and annual budgetary requirements.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to drive procurement initiatives and improve bottom line performance.
  • Develop and execute procurement sourcing strategies for a variety of requirements, including but not limited to our corporate purchasing needs.
  • Mentor colleagues in Purchasing and lend experience and knowledge to assist others in the department and the business.
  • Maintains current and accurate understanding of a broad base of commodities, service categories and general business conditions. Tracks material/service costs, and performance using metrics and tools. Analyzes trends and makes corresponding sourcing decisions that contribute directly to the company\'s competitive position. Supports DBE programs and initiatives.
  • Ensures that strategies capture the best available solution, while meeting critical internal timelines at the lowest possible. Ensure compliance with the business needs, internal QHSE (quality, health, safety & environment), and procurement policies.
  • Establish structured negotiation plans in support of company needs, objectives and KPIs with clarity of desired outcomes.
  • Direct supplier negotiations and administer agreements.
  • Interact regularly with senior level staff and executives in construction, engineering, development, finance, and purchasing located in the USA and other subsidiaries globally.
  • Negotiates and awards multi-faceted, large and complex, business wide and affiliate specific enterprise contracts to minimize operational, legal and financial risks. Formulates requests for proposal/quotations/information, bid analysis, tenders, and risk evaluations. Directs supplier negotiations and administers agreements. Collaborates with both internal and external legal counsel.
Skills and Requirements
  • Bachelor\'s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, Economics or relevant field with a minimum of 3 years of applicable experience; or Associates Degree with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience required.
  • Prior experience with the utility, renewable energy industry in direct or indirect spending is preferred.
  • Knowledge of supply chain methodologies, models, and procedures.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication, negotiation, and influencing skills, including the ability to communicate concepts, data and recommendations to management.
  • Experience performing economic evaluation for the procurement of equipment and services.
  • C.P.M., C.P.S.M, or equivalent or working toward achievement is strongly desired.
