JOB SUMMARY


The Kids Pastor/Director provides overall leadership and direction for Traders Point Kids at their campus. Because of the broad base of families and leaders involved in kids ministry, the Kids Pastor/Director influences the overall campus experience. By leading well, casting vision, willingness to be a part of the bigger picture of Traders Point Kids, and maintaining a healthy culture in their sphere of influence, the ministry should contribute to the overall attendance growth, engagement growth through serving, a stronger invite culture, and next steps taken by those who are a part of it - adults and kids alike.



SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES


This position has no direct staff supervisory responsibilities but will oversee volunteers.



DUTIES/PRIMARY JOB PRODUCTS

Build an inspired team: + Recruit, equip, and appreciate volunteer teams for all Traders Point Kids environments (Birth to Grade 6 and Disabilities Ministry)
+ Create a dynamic serving culture where team members are encouraged, supported, and inspired to grow in their relationship with Jesus
Create excellent Traders Point Kids environments: Develop safe and consistent campus environments and leaders in alignment with the Traders Point Kids overall vision and philosophy Create an effective environment for all weekend gatherings that removes unnecessary barriers that keep kids from Jesus (Birth to Grade 6 and Disabilities Ministry) Ensure effective implementation of aligned Traders Point Kids content to help kids experience Jesus at their level Actively grow in understanding and knowledge of childhood engagement techniques, trends, and changes Provide support and leadership to Traders Point Kids globally: + Contribute to planning and execution of global Traders Point Kids events (SuperStart, Kids Camp)
+ Contribute to Traders Point Kids strategic priorities and centralized projects
+ Provide leadership to the overall campus team
+ Provide pastoral leadership and care to the campus families, parents, and kids
+ May take a leadership role in planning and executing campus-wide events and experiences that require coordinating multiple staff or team members outside of Traders Point Kids
+ Participate in weekly set-up and tear-down at temporary sites for weekend gatherings


INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL RELATIONSHIPS

Serve under the general oversight of and report directly to the Campus Pastor Collaborate closely with the Lead Kids Pastor, Kids Operations Pastor, Kids Programming Pastor, and the Traders Point Kids staff team Will participate as a full member of the Traders Point Kids staff, including attending all meetings and required special events


REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES

Ability to work as part of a team Perform effectively in environments with frequent workload changes Solid understanding of the Bible Working knowledge of office equipment and software Exceptional problem-solving skills


PREFERRED SKILLS/ABILITIES

Experience working with children Strong leadership and organizational skills Collaborate with the Campus Pastor to ensure guests receive ongoing pastoral care. Conduct pastoral visits to hospitalized guests and perform requested pastoral services such as baptisms, weddings, funerals, and counseling.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree required or 3+ years of similar experience Excellent leadership skills with very strong organizational abilities and attention to detail 3+ years of experience leading volunteer teams and developing volunteer leaders preferred
