Job Description


This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and creative IT system administrator to manage Client\'s lab systems and help support our customers. You\xe2\x80\x99ll have a chance to work with scientific technologies such as Waters NuGenesis SDMS System. You will participate in software and hardware configuration and development processes. Primary Responsibilities Include:

  • Responsible for the IT administration of lab systems, installation and configuration of scientific software, user account management and author/execute IT SOPs.
  • Provide technical and system management support for Waters NuGenesis SDMS File/Print capture Devise and implement workflow improvements.
  • Develop/Create Waters Print Capture templates and perform periodic review of SDMS account management, logs and audit trails.
  • Manage system changes following change management procedures and provide systems maintenance, including implementation of patches/fixes.
  • Coordinate IT requirements, gathering and implementation of lab systems hardware and software.
  • Understanding and working with several enterprise-wide laboratory systems such as ELN, EMPOWER, SDMS.
  • Coordinate validation efforts on supported lab systems including, but not limited to, creating Risk assessments for systems, writing, reviewing, following SOPs and Work Instructions, executing IT test scripts for supported systems, and following IT policies and procedures.
  • Understand various business requirements and be able to translate those requirements into technical specifications to help the business select new systems to meet growing business needs.
  • Able to liaise with various vendors and other IT departments to ensure technical needs of supported users are being met.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Desired Education and Skills:
  • B.S. degree in computer sciences or related experience in the field
  • 5+ years of experience in systems development and administration in a GxP environment.
  • Excellent problem solver. Able to quickly diagnose IT related issues.
  • Able to communicate with various levels of business users from Lab associates, through Senior management on a wide range of supported, technical issues.
  • Expertise in formal technical writing
  • Highly organized, proactive, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to resolve differences and conflict using fact-based arguments in a positive manner.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively to technical and non-technical end users.
  • Able to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks.
Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. Job Type: Contract Pay: $70.00 - $80.00 per hour Benefits:
