• Salary Range: $90,990 - 138,760 annually (Determined by function, education, experience, and qualifications of the applicant. A 15% salary uplift is provided on top of base salary for positions that are worked in New York City or San Francisco, which is subject to change depending on market conditions.).

Position Summary

Opportunity exists within the Bechtel team to work closely with our customers on Mining and Metals (M&M) projects. We are currently seeking an Information Systems and Technology (IS&T) Infrastructure and IT support lead on the HREE Project. This project is to be built within existing (brownfield facilities) on the Mountain Pass Mine site in California near the Nevada border, about 45 min. - 1 hour drive from Las Vegas. HREE Project is a chemical processing facility separating 11 Heavy Rare Earth Elements through separation, precipitation, filtration, drying, calcination and packaging. Bechtel will be the primary EPC Contractor for the HREE Project. This key IT support role is core to Bechtel\'s project delivery model, and may be based initially in Houston Project Office, but with relocation to the project job site at the Mountain Pass facility.

Responsibilities

The primary responsibility of this role is to provide project IS&T Infrastructure support services for the Project. Reporting to the Project IS&T Lead/Project Information Manager, the primary responsibilities of the role are to provide deskside, local network and general IS&T operations support for our jobsite-based project team. You will be the first point of contact and support for IS&T and will work with Bechtel and project peers to ensure that office communications, IT infrastructure and application systems are implemented in line with Bechtel standards. The role:

• Responds to customers\' needs, questions and concerns and expedites actions in an accurate, effective and timely manner
• Meets regularly with Site Team leaders, Project IS&T Lead/Project Information Manager and project IS&T personnel to understand the overall project needs
• Leads/facilitates and assists with the planning & implementation of local IT equipment, hardware, and site infrastructure support activities
• Maintains, Diagnoses and resolves local IT Infrastructure, hardware & software related issues, while seeking to continuously improve incident resolution and customer service standards. Areas of support will include desktop/laptop computer hardware, mobile devices peripherals, networking, video conference, office printing equipment
• Facilitates project systems reporting, data integration and work process review and improvement
• Deploys and provides end user hardware and IT services to internal users in Bechtel offices locally
• Works within a standardised global support model, leveraging established global governance for IS&T services and support, change management, asset management, etc.
• Assists with the procurement of IS&T equipment and participates in the implementation of technical solutions, services and security remediations.

Qualifications and Skills

Basic Qualifications

• Industry experience gained through a recognised degree in a STEM-related field, and/or specialised courses in IT, Engineering or related fields, and/or extensive work experience in a STEM-related field.

• Builds productive and collaborative internal/external working relationships
• Strong working knowledge of the Microsoft Windows 10/11 operating systems and Microsoft 365 products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, etc.)
• Able to translate technical information into practical terms for discussion and presentation to broad audiences
• Demonstrate a strong safety focus and value the development and maintenance of client relationships that clearly define expectations and responsibilities.
