Job Description



The Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids (CTFK) IT Department provides technical oversight and supports computer equipment requirements, usage, and connectivity for staff and in-country consultants. The IT Support Specialist supports on-going technology needs and CTFK staff by resolving incidents and requests. The IT Support Specialist resolves issues with computer endpoints, applications, accounts, and connectivity. The IT Support Specialist provides end-user training and documentation.

WHAT YOU\'LL ACCOMPLISH:

  • Provide onsite, telephone, chat, and email technical support for CTFK staff
  • Diagnose issues with computer, mobile, and peripheral hardware
  • Diagnose issues with network connectivity over ethernet, wireless, and VPN
  • Troubleshoot applications on PC, Mac, mobile
  • Provide IT end-user training on various software, hardware, and cloud services
  • Document processes, procedures, instructions, and learning materials for users and IT colleagues
  • Perform new hire IT onboarding
  • Maintain IT asset inventory
  • Administer user and computer accounts, and manage Windows, Mac, and mobile device deployment packages using Active Directory, Office 365, Endpoint manager, and Jamf
  • Monitor, triage, and take ownership of support incidents
  • Installs, builds, and maintains computers, and peripherals
  • Provide creative troubleshooting and support for applications and production systems
  • Respond to service requests within required Service Level Agreement
  • Conduct research on computer products in support of procurement and development efforts
  • Evaluate and recommend hardware and software products for purchase
  • Collaborate with other IT team members to support and assist with projects
  • Adhere to Help Desk policies and procedures and all organizational security standards
  • Address system outages by following appropriate escalation path
  • Coordinate and performs department office moves
  • Interface with outside clients and vendors
  • Other duties as assigned

SKILLS YOU\'LL BRING TO THE ROLE:

  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree preferred with a concentration in Information Science, Computer Science, or an Associate degree and direct career experience in information technology disciplines, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum (2) Two years experience
  • Exceptional customer service/interpersonal skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience providing IT end-user training
  • Strong problem solving, oral presentation, technical writing, and planning skills
  • Prior Help Desk experience in an enterprise environment
  • Experience managing user accounts with Active Directory and Office365
  • Experience configuring hardware and software for Mac and PC
  • Ability to operate in a deadline driven environment and successfully prioritize multiple responsibilities
  • Collaborative team player
  • PC and Mac hardware, application, OS, and mobile troubleshooting skills
  • Self-Starter, detail oriented, with strong organizational skills
  • Certifications: A+, Network+, MCP or ITIL certifications desired
