Delta Fuel Company is dedicated to recruiting an experienced, process-oriented professional to join our team as an internal auditor. The goal of this position is to identify and analyze risk in order to eliminate possible sources of waste. This position will be responsible for various duties, such as, inventory audits, analyzing operational efficiency, and compliance audits . ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

\xc2\xb7 Identify financial risk of the organization and offer recommendations to reduce risk

\xc2\xb7 Determine ways to improve profitability

\xc2\xb7 Present findings to upper management in the form of reports and presentations

\xc2\xb7 Visit locations to perform quality audits and assess risks

\xc2\xb7 Work closely with our accounting and operations teams

\xc2\xb7 Collaborate with various departments on intertwining accounting functions \xe2\x80\x93 accounts payable, cash management, inventory, accounts receivable

\xc2\xb7 Collaborate with accounting team to conduct financial period closing procedures and account reconciliations

\xc2\xb7 Perform special projects and other duties as assigned by management

QUALIFICATIONS/POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

\xc2\xb7 Bachelor\'s degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred

\xc2\xb7 5+ years of experience in accounting or similar role

\xc2\xb7 Previous experience with the petroleum products industry a plus

\xc2\xb7 Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.)

\xc2\xb7 Comfortable with deadlines and achieving targets or goals

\xc2\xb7 Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

\xc2\xb7 Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills

\xc2\xb7 Ability to work independently with attention to details

\xc2\xb7 Strong organization skills and ability to multitask
