We are seeking a

part-time Interior Designer

to assist with our projects. This role offers hands-on exposure to residential real estate development and the opportunity to gain valuable experience in both design and the practical side of construction. You'll learn how design decisions are influenced by budgets, timelines, and construction processes while helping bring projects from concept to completion.

Responsibilities

Assist with the design and layout of interiors for residential properties. Support in the preparation of design packages and selections prior to construction approvals. Source materials, finishes, and fixtures (provide SKUs and specifications). Collaborate with contractors on-site to mark out and explain design details. Coordinate with contractors and project partners to ensure design intent is carried through construction.

Qualifications

Strong interest in residential interior design. Proficiency in 3D modeling and rendering software (e.g., SketchUp, Revit, AutoCAD, or similar). Excellent communication and organizational skills. Must have reliable transportation and ability to drive to project sites in New Jersey. Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful project delivery Conduct site visits to assess spaces and oversee construction or renovation work Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and other professionals involved in the project Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and technologies related to interior design
