Position Overview



The Integration Analyst will specialize in the design, configuration, validation, customization and monitoring of interfaces built to efficiently receive and process healthcare and related data to support the products and services provided by HealthInfoNet, Maine's Health Information Exchange, and Cureous Innovations. The Integration Analyst will utilize the Rhapsody Integration Engine to exchange data with the State of Maine, local and regional healthcare systems, and to support activities related to analytics, data standardization and public health. This position will work collaboratively with other members of the technical team to configure, transform, and map health information data feeds and queries to and from provider organizations, state agencies, disease registries, national interoperability networks such as eHealth Exchange and CommonWell, and other potential systems.

Key Duties and Responsibilities



Play a lead role in designing, configuring, validating, monitoring and customizing interfaces that receive and process demographic and clinical data from healthcare organizations into HealthInfoNet's systems and applications.

Work closely with technical resources from EMR vendors, hospitals and other organizations to implement interface solutions that effectively meet information exchange requirements within a defined project scope.

Write comprehensive technical specifications for the identified solution during the design phase, and detailed standard operating procedures to maintain the solution once implemented

Build and configure end to end solutions which may include data manipulation, filtering and exclusion.

Lead testing and data validation activities with technical end-users.

Release the solution to end-users and provide technical guidance.

Monitor and resolve data mapping errors, interface engine routing errors, interface connectivity errors and other related mapping errors in timely manner.

Import/update standard mapping codes and client local mapping requests into the mapping database.

Maintain interface engine configuration, application upgrade, testing and validation.

Serve as a member of the Support Team.

Skills and Qualifications



An understanding of EMR workflows and the ability to design and develop interfaces that ensure data synchronization between the source and receiving systems.

Experience with administrative and technical standards pertaining to electronic healthcare transactions such as HIPAA, HL7, IHE, CCD, FHIR and EDI.

Experience implementing interfaces using the Rhapsody Integration Engine. Experience interfacing with EMR vendors such as EPIC, Cerner, Meditech, Evident, AthenaHealth and eClinicalWorks is preferred. Syndromic Surveillance and Electronic Laboratory Reporting public health interface experience is a plus.

Detailed working knowledge and hands-on experience with HL7 interface analysis and development (ADT, orders, laboratory and radiology results, problems, immunizations, billing, etc.)

Working knowledge of SQL Server database structures and queries, XML, JSON and JavaScript.

Understanding of TCP/IP communications and web services.

Strong problem solving skills.

Employment Standards



Education:

Bachelor's degree in an information technology discipline.

Experience:

Minimum of 5 years developing and implementing HL7 interfaces using the Rhapsody Integration Engine or other integration engines.

Required skills:

Prior exposure to and demonstrated ability with configuring and managing data exchange is required.

Special Skills:

Must be self-motivated and independent, able to work with a minimum of supervision and to work well with executives and technical staff. Hold a working knowledge of Java Script, experience in HL7 interfaces, Rhapsody Integration Engine and have demonstrated successful integration of healthcare data exchange applications.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
