The Install Lead oversees and performs the installation of glass, mirrors, shower doors, windows, and related products in residential and commercial settings. This position leads by example--ensuring every installation meets A Touch of Glass standards for quality, safety, and customer satisfaction. The Install Lead is responsible for guiding technicians on-site, coordinating workflow, communicating with clients, and ensuring projects are completed efficiently and accurately. This role requires technical skill, strong leadership, and a commitment to professionalism and dependability.
Essential Responsibilities:
Lead and participate in the installation of glass, mirrors, shower doors, and windows at customer sites.
Provide direction, training, and feedback to Install Technicians on quality standards and procedures.
Ensure jobs are completed on time, to specification, and within safety guidelines.
Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for customers, ensuring clear and professional communication.
Conduct quality checks during and after installations to confirm accuracy and finish.
Review work orders, measurements, and materials to confirm readiness before job departure.
Report progress, issues, and completion details to the Install Manager.
Troubleshoot installation challenges and assist with repairs or adjustments as needed.
Maintain organized jobsite conditions and vehicle cleanliness.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and perform other duties as assigned to support business needs and company objectives.
Promote teamwork, safety, and craftsmanship in every project.
Qualifications:
Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
Minimum of 2 years of relevant glass, construction, or installation experience.
Proven ability to lead small teams and delegate effectively.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
Dependable and self-motivated, with strong time management skills.
Commitment to quality workmanship and continuous improvement.
Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work on ladders or scaffolding.
