Job Description

As an Information Technology Administrator, you will be responsible for the administration of the company network, internal services, and public websites. You will be a point of contact for other engineers to provide technical support and troubleshooting. You will have the opportunity to architect new information systems from the ground up to support novel engineering and R&D projects. This is a challenging position that requires a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and a passion for technology.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain the company network and internal services
• Define and document company IT policies
• Develop security policies and oversee their implementation
• Develop training documentation and material to communicate IT policies and onboard new hires
• Manage licensed software and administer company license servers
• Create user accounts and perform access control
• Configure reliable back-up and archiving systems for company data
• Work closely with software and hardware engineering teams to ensure smooth operations
• Collaborate with finance team to communicate requirements and costs, assist with the purchasing of software and equipment

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in computer science, information technology, information systems, or related fields
• 3+ years of experience with IT systems, networks, and related technologies
• Working knowledge of best practices in IT administration and system security
• Experience with CD/CI and git version control
• Familiarity with Linux, Mac OS and Windows systems administration
• Excellent technical communication

Preferred Qualifications

• Practical experience in Microsoft Azure and Office 365 administration
• Experience with engineering / CAD tools (SolidWorks CAD and PDM)
• Familiarity with infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible, or similar)
• Ability to set up automated workflows as scheduled scripts or batch jobs
• Experience with HPC deployment and modern scientific compute cluster architectures
