Description
The National Security Customer Group of SAIC is an Incident Management Lead or Project Manager to support an IT Service Management effort for USTRANSCOM located at Scott Air Force Base (AFB) in Illinois. The USTC Managed Information Technology Services (MITS) contract is intended to provide strategic, technical, and program management guidance and support services to facilitate the operations and modernization of the combatant command\'s infrastructure, systems, and applications. This support will be provided to the USTC Command, Control, Communications & Cyber Systems Directorate (TCJ6).
The successful candidate will work on high-visibility or mission critical aspects of the program and performs all functional duties independently; oversees the efforts of less senior staff and/or is responsible for the efforts of all staff assigned to a specific job.
Responsibilities
Function as the Incident Management Process Owner and Manager
Manage all incidents through their lifecycle
Follow ITIL best practices
Responsible for timely reporting, resolving (if possible), and escalating (when needed) all incidents affecting services or service components
Provide tracking, customizable reporting, knowledge base development, and access to status updates and common incident resolution
Provide incident reports to support Capacity Management, Service Level Management, Security, Availability Management, Service Asset and Configuration Management, Change Management, Problem Management, and Access Management
Provide incident data if only data is requested instead of a report
Provide a monthly Incident Management report that includes the number of incidents and the status of all open incidents
Prepare knowledge articles for inclusion in the ITSM tool
This position is for Monday through Friday, normal business hours. However, employee may be required to provide after-hours and weekend support during planned or emergency events.
