Job Summary: The Human Resource Manager will report to the company owner. In this role, the Manager will help run the daily functions of the department including hiring and interviewing staff, assisting with pay assistance, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices. Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Assist departments with job descriptions and job postings, coordination, and participation in interviews.
  • Handle all administrative tasks for onboarding, new hire benefit review, exit interviews, including entering data into Paycom (or other) and auditing for accuracy and compliance.
  • Recruit, interview, and facilitate the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborate with department managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
  • Conduct or acquire background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
  • Prepare paperwork, schedule, and facilitate a smooth new hire onboarding process, coordinating with cross-functional departments to deliver an exceptional first-day experience
  • Perform tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
  • Work with employees to answer benefits questions and assist in processing life events and open enrollment elections
  • Assist in the communication, interpretation, and upkeep of employee handbook and organizational chart
  • Contribute to the development of policies
  • Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
  • Attend and participate in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Manage support staff as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Knowledge of Paycom a plus.
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • At least three years of human resource management experience preferred.
  • Experience with Paycom a plus.
Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift 25 pounds at times.
  • Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization\xe2\x80\x99s facilities.
