Position Summary

Are you a tech savvy, quick learner with a broad knowledge of Human Resources and top-notch customer service skills? If so, this opportunity may be for you! Securis is looking for an HR Generalist to be primarily responsible for the support and maintenance of such HR programs as: timekeeping and attendance, employee engagement, employee relations, and benefits administration. The HR Generalist will be the first point of contact for the HR Department. Ideally, he/she will have experience working in a small business environment. This position is 100% onsite, and roughly follows our Warehouse schedule: Monday-Friday, 7am to 330pm.
Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Serves as primary HR customer service rep for employees on basic HR-related topics;
  • Serves as primary HR liaison for external customers, vendors and providers on basic HR-related topics.
  • HRIS Management Administration: Accurate and timely data entry into the HRIS system, assist in the review, testing and implementation of HRIS system and its upgrades, and fixes, audit and validate data within HR systems to maintain data integrity and ensure that system controls and processes meet all internal and external audit requirements, create and maintain regular and ad-hoc reports or queries to support day-to-day HR operations, assist with training employees on creating, accessing, and manipulating their information within the HRIS system;
  • Benefits Administration: maintain a basic understanding of health and welfare laws; specifically HIPAA, and COBRA, maintain a basic understanding of our insurance plans in order to respond to basic inquiries by employees on benefits and claims related questions, route more complex inquiries to the HR Director and/or company insurance brokers, serve as liaison for all Worker\xe2\x80\x99s compensation accidents, transmit all relevant information to the insurance carrier, and provide information/direction to the injured employee; in addition responds to all unemployment insurance benefit claims;
  • Data Integrity Administration: Regularly and routinely protect the integrity of data entered into employee files, payroll and HRIS systems, and all written HR communication. To accomplish this task, this employee must develop and exhibit above average proofreading, data entry, and written communications skills.
  • Employee Engagement: Responsible for much of the planning, coordination and facilitation of the annual company picnic, quarterly town halls, anniversaries, new hire luncheons and similar events.
  • Responsible for the planning, coordination and facilitation of the new hire orientation and onboarding process. This includes preparation of NHO packets for first-day orientation, issuing employee badges, explaining all company policies, procedures and benefits programs, collection of all required forms, enrollment of new hires in Bamboo and assigning required training courses in the Learning Management System (LMS);
  • Responsible for filing, maintenance and compliance of all personnel related files and records.
  • Assists with the creation and maintenance of all HR-related government and internal company compliance reports and databases.

Educational Background and Experience
Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Human Resources, Psychology or related field preferred. Three (3) years of related full-time work experience preferred. HR Certification (i.e. PHR, SHRM-CP) preferred. Knowledge of Bamboo/Trax Payroll system and T-Sheets (or similar HRIS) preferred. Knowledge of Cornerstone (or similar LMS) preferred.
