THE POSITION

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

You will serve as the Labor Relations Coordinator, for the Bureau of Juvenile Justice Services. This position has labor relations responsibilities for a complement of approximately 613 positions. You will be expected to actively coordinate and discharge a full range of labor relations and performance management functions within the Bureau of Juvenile Justice Services program offices. Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment.
  • Work hours are 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. (Hours are Negotiable)

  • Travel: as necessary to the 5 facilities within BJJS
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time up three days a week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Loysville, Pennsylvania.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
  • One year as a Human Resource Analyst 2 in the area of the parenthetical.; or
  • One year as a Field Human Resource Officer 1, and one year of professional experience in the area of the parenthetical; or
  • Two years of experience in the performance of professional human resource work, including one year of professional experience in the area of the parenthetical; and a bachelor\'s degree; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.
