Flint Hills Resources Pipelines and Terminals is seeking a HR Business Partner to join the FHR team! As a HR Business Partner, you will work with leaders to develop and execute HR strategies focused on our long-term competitive goals in the areas of talent management, organizational effectiveness, workforce planning, employee engagement and HR team effectiveness. This position will play an important role in helping drive the organizations efforts to transform its operations and HR process to compete in a highly competitive market. A key part of this role is understanding Principle Based Management and helping the organization advance our application and learnings.

Our Team

This role will report to the Human Resources Director on a team of two and be based onsite in Wichita, KS and includes travel up to 25%.

What You Will Do

  • Provide strategic guidance to leaders in areas of change management and organization change readiness.
  • Identify talent gaps (individually and organizationally) that are obstacles to superior results and coach supervisors on the development of gap closure plans.
  • Develop plans to attract, motivate, develop, and retain a diverse workforce.
  • Advance our Principled Based Management (PBM) culture through continued learning and application of PBM concepts.
  • Constructively challenge situations and behaviors that are not consistent with our values and Code of Conduct.
  • Manage and resolve employee relations issues - conduct thorough and objective investigations in partnership with site HR director, compliance and legal.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships across all levels of the organization (team, local and cross-site peers, leaders, customers, and partners)
  • Collaborate with leaders on compensation decisions and rewarding employees for value creation.
  • Utilize data analytics to highlight trends and metrics to enable data driven decisions.
  • Identify HR Compliance risks and develop gap closure plans to address risks while implementing a systematic approach to maintaining compliance.
  • Leverage Koch partnerships in payroll, benefits, compliance, and legal to ensure a positive employee experience
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
  • Experience developing and articulating a point of view on opportunities to advance HR team and/or company vision
  • Experience communicating and partnering on strategic initiatives with all levels of the organization
  • Valid Driver License
What Will Put You Ahead
  • HR experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment
