HR Business Partner The HR Business Partner will Act as a strategic business partner, employee champion and organizational change agent for assigned employee group(s). This role will be responsible for providing support and input for the business unit\xe2\x80\x99s health care programs which include group health, dental, vision, short-term and long-term disability, flexible spending plan, retirement plans and administering employee leave and disability programs. Compensation & Benefits: Estimated Starting Salary Range for HR Business Partner : $75,000 - $117,000 Pay commensurate with experience. Full time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K and other possible benefits as provided. Benefits are subject to change with or without notice. HR Business Partner Responsibilities Include:

  • Consults with business leaders during the strategic planning process and develops human resources initiatives which support business needs.
  • Consults with business leaders, employees, and Human Resources (HR) to provide value-added tactical support to accomplish organizational objectives.
  • Provides coaching, counseling and career development guidance to business leaders and employees.
  • Understands operational goals and objectives of assigned employee group(s) and collaborates with business leaders to produce solutions that address business priorities.
  • Handles employee relations matters for assigned employee group(s), including employee related investigations.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
  • Analyze current benefits, evaluating the use, services, coverage, effectiveness, cost, plan experience and competitive trends in benefits programs, and identify the business unit\xe2\x80\x99s stance.
  • Research employee benefits plans and vendors and make recommendations regarding changes or enhancements to current plans that meet the needs of the business unit.
  • Complete benefits surveys and review information obtained from the results. Analyze complex benefits information. Forecast trends and assist with future benefits designs. Develop specific recommendations for review by management.
  • Monitor administrative costs of benefits programs and recommend cost containment strategies, including alternative methods for administration and funding.
  • Design and distribute materials for benefits orientations, open enrollment, and summary plan descriptions.
  • Processes short-term disability (STD) payroll; reconciles payroll to ensure payment is correct from third-party administrator.
  • Assists human resources and legal with any leave-related issues.
  • Resolves issues with third-party administrator related to leave decisions.
  • Serves as the point of contact for leave questions.
  • Places employees on leave within HCM (human capital management) system for family medical leave (FML) and workers compensation.
  • Processes return to work with restrictions including updating the system.
HR Business Partner Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree and 4 to 6 years of progressive human resources and/or organizational development experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. PHR, SPHR or SHRM-CP certifications preferred. Project management experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of principles and procedures regarding benefits.
  • Knowledge of benefit laws, government regulations, and agency rules.
  • Effective written, communication, presentation and computer skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
  • Fundamental business acumen.
  • Working knowledge of HR principles and processes.
  • Working knowledge of business and management principles involved in planning, resource allocation, leadership technique and coordination of people and resources.
  • Excellent collaboration skills including informing and the ability to flex to support broader business and HR teams, as needed.
  • Ability to use data to identify opportunities and/or create solutions.
  • Ability to advise business leaders and employees including the ability to build trusting relationships.
  • Knowledge of all pertinent federal and state regulations, filing and compliance requirements, both adopted and pending, affecting employee benefits programs, including the ACA, ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, Section 125, workers\' compensation, Medicare, OBRA, and Social Security and DOL requirements.
