The Latino Economic Development Center (LEDC) is a non-profit, tax-exempt community development organizationfounded in 1991. LEDC\'s mission is todrive the economic and social advancement of low- to moderate-income Latinos and otherunderservedcommunitiesbyequipping them with the skills and tools to achieve financial independence and become leaders in their communities.We achieve ourmission through small business development and lending, homeownership group education, individual counseling, and affordable housing preservation.
Housing Counseling Program
LEDC is a HUD-certified housing counseling agency that helps families in the DC area to buy their first home and save their homes from foreclosure. LEDC accomplishes these goals by providing first-time homebuyer education and counseling, providing financial capability and credit education and counseling, providing foreclosure counseling and technical assistance.
The Housing Education Coordinator will provide administrative, outreach, and training support to the Housing Counseling Program and ensure quality service to our clients in Maryland, the District of Columbia, and Virginia. The Housing Education Coordinator in Maryland will report and work closely with the Housing Education and Financial Empowerment Manager and the Chief of Housing Programs to implement and grow the housing counseling and financial capability services in the Metropolitan Area.
