What you'll do

Greet and seat guests with enthusiasm, ensuring they feel valued and welcomed from the moment they arrive. Manage reservations and waitlists using Aloha POS or Micros POS systems to optimize seating efficiency. Communicate effectively with the kitchen and serving staff to ensure seamless service flow. Handle guest inquiries and concerns with professionalism, enhancing overall guest relations. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and dining area to create an inviting atmosphere. Assist in training new host/host team members, sharing your expertise in customer service and hospitality. Utilize phone etiquette to manage incoming calls, providing information about menu offerings and reservation details. Collaborate with management to implement strategies that enhance guest satisfaction and dining experience.

Basic qualifications

Proven experience as a host/host in a restaurant or hotel setting, showcasing your ability to manage guest interactions gracefully.

Preferred qualifications

Strong background in food service and customer service, demonstrating your commitment to excellence in hospitality. Familiarity with Aloha POS or Micros POS systems is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and non-verbal, ensuring clear interactions with guests and team members. Experience in serving or guest services that enhances your understanding of the dining process.
