Primary Functions:

The mission of the Ginsburg Institute for Health Equity is to advance health equity for children by addressing the underlying social determinants of health and working to eliminate health disparities through community engagement, research, and innovative collaboration with partners.

The goals Program Manager are to support the mission, goals, and strategic initiatives of the Ginsburg Institute for Health Equity at Nemours Childrens Health, Orlando. The Health Equity Program Manager Reporting to the Executive Director of the Ginsburg Institute supports a wide range of health equity programs, events and funding opportunities to advance child health equity in central Florida.
Specific areas of responsibility include strategic planning, strategic program development, knowledge management and management of strategic initiatives, partnerships, programs, measurement and program evaluation.

Essential Functions: * Support the Executive Director to execute the Ginsburg Institute for Health Equity strategic plan across the Nemours Children\'s Health, Orlando.

  • Determine and develop plans for achieving long and short-term goals for events, programs and projects.
  • Establish methods to track the success of the Ginsburg Institute for Health Equity initiatives and analyze key metrics and analytics.
  • Responsible for overseeing the administration and monitoring of multiple programs including the Ginsburg Institute Scholars program, and various grant initiatives
  • Develop and manage a detailed work plan to monitor various programs, projects and initiatives.
  • Support the development and operations of various advisory boards
  • Manage daily work of Program Coordinators, and ensure deliverables are accomplished according to project plan.
  • Support leadership in publications, including preparing abstracts & submissions, developing PowerPoints and writing literature reviews and citations for professional papers
Job Requirements:

Bachelor\'s degree required, Master\'s degree strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience with strategic planning, lean and/or agile methodologies.
  • Minimum of three (3) years\' experience managing cross-functional or inter-disciplinary teams.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of core issues related to workforce diversity, equity/health equity, equity/health equity research, change management, large group educational design and facilitation.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage large-scale projects and/or program teams. Ability to set up, plan, manage, report, and communicate projects and direct the completion of projects within proper scope, budget, and schedule.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software packages.
