Grant Manager will support the project/program team with performance reporting, sub-recipient monitoring, and customized technical assistance responsive to unique needs. The Grants Manager will undertake all financial and administrative tasks related to providing life-cycle grant management for federal and non-federal sponsored research from pre-award submission planning through post-award management and close-out. Provide premier customer service by serving as the initial point of contact for the grants office, displaying a positive attitude and high level of willingness and good nature while doing so; field inquiries from and serve as the grants financial policy and process resource. Pre-award grant administration: Assist with the preparation of proposals for sponsored research to external and internal sponsors; review proposals for administrative requirements; provide guidance; assist with the preparation of standard to complex budgets and budget justifications; gather required documents for submission according to sponsor guidelines; review application for completeness, track proposal through the signature process to ensure deadlines are met. Post-award administration: Review information and award notices for accuracy and submit corrections for inaccuracies, budget awards internally. prepare and monitor ICR budgets, prepare and enter journals and cost transfers, prepare monthly account reconciliations; ensure regulatory and administrative compliance with sponsor policies and procedures; exercise overall management and operational responsibility for issues of finance and reporting, compliance, and procurement services (approve and receipt grant invoices for payment, process and reconcile purchase orders, payments to vendors, ProCard receipts, and revenue deposits); work proactively with vendors and appropriate offices to investigate and/or correct issues as necessary; develop and distribute comprehensive monthly financial reports to investigators and meet with PIs regularly to review project and/or portfolio spending actuals, projections, trends, etc. plan reporting schedules and ensure compliance with same, providing reports or templates as needed; Participate in all other activities required to support sponsored research projects. Manage grants through close-out, including overseeing the finally close PO process for sponsored research purchase orders. Continually monitor risks associated with research administration to ensure full compliance with all regulations and applicable standards; provide recommendations for improved control and/or operation procedures. Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Perform relevant research on federal grants and awards to assist the project teams with their duties of monitoring federal grant
  • Review grantee and subgrantee budgets, invoices, and contract materials for compliance with applicable grant, federal and state regulations, and guidelines
  • Identify and develop strategies to optimize the grants administration process with invoicing, budgeting, auditing, and financial risk analysis
  • Provide support to implementation teams on subrecipient monitoring and procurement and related policies, best practices, regulations and risk management and mitigation strategies and tools.
  • Maintaining and tracking all revenues and expenses of grant recipients and grant programs
Essential Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of laws, regulations, rules, policies, procedures, and methods governing the administration of Federal grants, agreements subawards and awards
  • Working knowledge of standard accounting procedures and ability to utilize computerized accounting systems
  • Experience in grants/assistance management processes and techniques consistent with sound business and industry practices with local municipalities
  • Knowledge of financial methods, procedures, and practices to assess the financial stability of recipient of Federal grants or cooperative agreements
  • Examine and analyze records, reports, operating practices, and documentation techniques
  • Effective analytic skills
  • Effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to perform in cross-functional team approach and job responsibilities
  • Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines and produce quality results on time with attention to detail
Knowledge of Financial systems, Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Teams Required Qualifications
  • Equivalent of Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree with three years of experience in accounting, business administration, finance, nonprofit management, public administration, or a related field and one (1) year of experience in grant management, program administration, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Job Type: Full-time Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year Benefits:
